I learnt this Don Pedro cocktail from my South African friends. I’ve been to a few South African restaurants, both here in London and in South African and the Don Pedro is often on the dessert list.
I’ve made this Don Pedro with Kahlua but it can also be made with Baileys liqueur instead. I much prefer Kahlua. It’s quite strong, but tastes so delicious. Like an adults milkshake.
- 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
- double shot Kahlua
- 2 tablespoons single cream
Simply combine all ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth. Serve the Don Pedro immediately in a cocktail glass.
