French food: Radishes

Radishes with butter and sea salt on the bottomYou don’t need a recipe for these  radishes, but if you hadn’t seen it or read about it before you may miss out on this taste sensation.  I saw radishes being eaten in France like this many years ago and thought nothing of it.  Butter is everywhere.  But then I read about it and it jogged a memory and I thought I would try it next time I bought radishes.  I am a butter fan, and so I’m not surprised that I really liked this.  If you haven’t tried this before, please do.

This is one of the best things about simple traditional foods – it’s so easy and so tasty!

Ingredients:

  • Radishes
  • Unsalted butter
  • Sea salt

Method:

Simply wash and trim your radishes and dip then in the butter (room temperature) and the salt.  Delicious!
