Australian recipe: Honey joys (Kid’s party)
An easy to make childhood favourite, honey joys. At children’s birthday parties or school fates, you would always see fairy bread, chocolate crackles and honey joys back home in Australia. These are so simple to make and only use 4 ingredients.
I made these for my daughters nursery picnic and she loved them.
- 3-4 cups of cornflakes (any brand is fine)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoons sugar (optional)
Pour the cornflakes into a large bowl.
In a small pan, melt together the butter, honey and sugar.
Pour the melted ingredients onto the cornflakes and mix together well.
Spoon the mixture into paper cupcake cases and bake in an 180 c oven for 8-10 minutes. Allow to cool before serving.
